Well, it would appear that Mr. Obama was doing something while he was in the Illinois State Senate. We all know about the issues that starkly separate Obama and his ilk from those of us with common (re: conservative!) sense; abortion, taxes, national security, etc...
As a member of law enforcement, however, I am also curious about Mr. O's stance on crime. After a brief bit of "googling", I found a few interesting facts.
- Voted against making gang members eligible for the death penalty if they kill someone to help their gang. (2001)
- Unsuccessfully sponsored limit of one handgun purchase per month. (2000)
- Voted against letting people argue self-defense in court if charged with violating local weapons bans by using a gun in their home. (2004)
